- Current Poll (#16): Mayor Michael Bloomberg has proposed that New York City adopt a system of "congestion pricing." Drivers would have to pay a charge to come into Manhattan's Central Business District during weekday rush-hours. The mayor says these charges will reduce traffic congestion and help pay for transit repairs. There would be a three year pilot project to see how the program works. What do you think?
- Poll #15: In 2005, transit managers started a program of "station customer agents." These agents "rove" the station at scores of locations and are tasked with helping riders navigate the subways, rather than work inside a station booth. Do you think the program of "roving" station customer agents is:
- Poll #14: Will you save money on fares because of the MTA's holiday discounts?
- Poll #13: Which of the following measures on transit security do you view as the most effective use of police?

- Poll #11: The MTA is considering wiring the subways to allow riders use of cell phones in subway stations and throughout the system. Do you support wiring the subways for cell phone use?
- Poll #10: The MTA says it is facing an $815 million deficit for the city subway and bus system next year. It has proposed three options to close its gap:
- MTA Option A: Cut service. Also raise fares 17%, with a: $1.75 base fare; $20 for a 7-day MetroCard; and $73 for a 30-day MetroCard
- MTA Option B: No cuts in service and raise fares 33% but deeply discount the unlimited-ride MetroCards: $2.00 base fare, a 7-day MetroCard could cost anywhere between $18.50 - $20.50 and a 30-day MetroCard between $69 - $76.50.
- MTA Option C: No cuts in service and raise fares 33% across the board: $2.00 base fare, $22 for a 7-day MetroCard and $84 for a 30-day MetroCard
What's your opinion about these options?
- Poll #9: Mayor Bloomberg says the fare may go up and the city may cut support for the subway and bus system. What do you think about an increase of the fare to $2.00?
- Poll #8: What is your biggest concern about bus service?
- Poll #7: Elected officials are currently considering a proposal to place tolls on the East River bridges to reduce traffic congestion and to raise money for transportation and city services. Would you support tolling the Brooklyn, Manhattan, Williamsburg and Queensboro/59th Street Bridges?
- Poll #6: How would you rate the bus route you take most regularly?
- Poll #5: The Straphangers recently released a report rating the quality of payphones in the subway system. How would you rate subway payphone service?
- Poll #4: Currently the Mayor has banned all non-commercial vehicles from entering Manhattan below 63rd Street during rush-hour weekdays unless they have at least two passengers. Do you think this carpooling requirement should be made permanent?
- Poll #3: Where do you prefer buying your token or MetroCard?
- Poll #2: The MTA is considering wiring the subways to allow riders use of cell phones in subway stations and throughout the system. Do you support wiring the subways for cell phone use?
