Q: In The Bronx, which stops does the 6 Express make and which is its' terminal? (Similiar to the (E) train thread but one can post stories and trivia about the (6) train as well here. Enjoy and have fun.)

The 6 express pwns but it has to deal with the bottleneck in Parkchester.

Here's a trivia question.

The 6's last stop, as we all know, is Pelham Bay Park. But common sense dictates, she doesn't quite stop in the park. In fact, she stops at the intersection of Bruckner Boulevard and Westchester Avenue. What's the name of the plaza at the intersection?

It's Amendola Plaza.

A new question, though the answer may not be the same anymore. It was as of about three weeks ago.

R142-A Car #7667 on the 6 train has a slight problem.
It works fine, but it seems to have missed something on the stop display line.
Which of the following is the problem?

a) It shows the Grand Street Shuttle.
b) It shows two Q's, an orange one and a yellow one. Also, it shows the E and F at 51st Street.
c) It provides a transfer to the A and F trains at 51st street.
d) It shows a transfer to the E at 59th Street.

Q: Due to the width of Lexington Avenue, the (6) <6> generally travel on the upper level but not completely between 59th and 125th Street. Which station or stations is/are the exception to this?

That is correct. At 103d and at 110th Street, the (6) and <6> are on a traditional four track subway - the only place on Lexington Avenue this occurs.

I have an anecdote about the 6!
[merely stating the obvious]

I was on the train today, going home, when this kid got on at 125th. He started talking to a friend of his, and I happened to notice from the other side of the car. I ended up going to that side of the car by the time the train reached Parkchester, and they were having a really funny conversation. I couldn't help laughing, so they let me join in. The kid in question was so cool! Though he's younger than me, he seems like he'd be a good friend. Problem is, I didn't give him my name, nor any contact information.

I just got home and it's been driving me nutty. I can't get on the same train tomorrow because I have bloody National Honor Society, so I'll be getting home late...

Very true. I used to only want to ride the R62A's on the 6 but I eventually got over that. They were great on the 6.

On the (6) <6>, Hunt's Point Avenue is both the last (or first) underground station and the last (or first) station of the Pelham Bay Line portion of Southern Boulevard. True Or False?

True. The station just north of it, Whitlock Avenue, is above ground.
